He also insulted me after the diagnosis because I told him I thought the sound was coming from the top of the engine. Gosh, I'm an idiot.

The repair was quick, and fairly priced, but I remember his words as I left... "Don't blame me when all of the other hoses burst and you're stuck in the middle of nowhere!"

Most recently I brought my son's 1993 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera. To his credit, he only charged me $20 plus tax for diagnosing the problem... bad harmonic balancer.

I've taken my cars to Dale's twice. Neither experience was good, and the owner talked to me very condescendingly.

I only gave Dale's a second chance because he's AAA rated. Sounds like he's good, but he acts like he knows that all too well!

I called a mobile mechanic who said if I bought the part ($88 at Advance Auto Parts) he would charge me $110 to swap it out If I took off the wheel, inside fender covers and belt.

I get my car service here all the time. Not the cheapest in town, but the most trustworthy I have found. They won't sell you something you don't need, and will make sure that it is done right the first time!

We've been using Dale's for years. He has NEVER done any work on our cars without first determining what needs to be done and then calling with the cost to get our authorization. His prices are more than fair, his work is excellent and he stands behind it completely. He does not nickle and dime. He will explain what and why and give you options if there are any. It is so rare to find his level of expertise and fairness that we have never considered going anyplace else. We've been lots of other places in the past and we know great when we see it.

Rude on the phone. Would not quote a price. If you do great work you can stand by your prices. Just give me a quote.

After I did that, my 16 year old son and I just kept going and fixed it ourselves in about 3 hours, including a parts run.

He insulted me for buying an older, Audi station wagon, and insisted on repairing all of the radiator hoses even though I just wanted the ruptured once replaced.

I do not say this lightly, this shop is the most trustworthy and honest car repair place in town. I have been here for repairs a number of times now and frankly I will never go anywhere else again. I cannot recommend this shop enough, they only use the highest quality parts and only do the highest quality of work. Once you go there, you won't go anywhere else again.

Classy. And it never happened the year plus I owned the inexpensive, auction purchase.

That'll be $700! No thanks. I searched this repair online, and it ranged from $250-$350
