I had such an awkward pit in my stomach that I decided to walk out. I then went to Joyce's, who was so friendly and accommadating and talented I was so happy! Go to Joyce's...NOT Jennifer's! And please, somebody offer that blond girl with the nose ring a job so she can get out of there!!!
As I walked in Jennifer's a young girl approached me with blond hair and a nose ring. She was extremely sweet! She took me to the back cooler to show me the options.
Very Disappointing! I read all the other reviews and suggestions from other websites on the best way to order flowers from out of town. Best strategy was to find a great local flower shop and have them do a designers choice arrangement with a few suggestions. I kindly ordered 3 days in advance and asked for $85 in flowers for Valentines day. I had it delivered to my Girlfriend in front of many co-workers, and when I saw the pictures ... I was personally embarrassed. 4 FLOWERS! a huge vase full of green filler and 2 roses and two daisies. I was so upset that I ended up giving her another bouquet to make up for it, from a local GROCERY store, that was 5X better for 1/3 the price.
They worked with me a week and a half before my wedding. I gave them my colors and left them with the creativity and oh my goodness my wedding flowers were beautiful!!! I was stunned when I saw them. Absolutely gorgeous! every piece I had requested looked perfect.
When I said, "Ok. So when you come up with the arrangements, will I get to choose from a few?" she said, "Sir! Just let us do our job! If you don't like it, you don't have to take it!"
After that I asked if I got to pick a vase and Jennifer told me to let them do it for me. I didn't know how it worked since I was used to going to grocery stores. First of all, Jennifer interrupted this girl (who was doing fine)! After I mentioned that there were cheap vases on the shelf, she said "just let us pick the vase". I didn't understand why I didn't get to pick from a few, and so she proceeded to lecture me on the purpose of vases. Even if it wasn't insulting (which it was), the tutorial was way more than I asked for.
As we were in the cooler the girl quickly picked a good handful of options to put into a bouquet for me and of course I wanted to let her do that. The manager (Jennifer) came by and scolded the girl for holding the cooler door open (even though I was the one holding it open) after about 2 minutes...tops! It was awkward. I said "Oh I'm sorry that's my fault."
I had a tremendous experience with the team at Jennifer's flowers. The flowers were delivered on time and were exceptional. Creative, quality and lovely. They are on my short list and I will be ordering from them again.
